EEEEEKKKK!

Yes, that was me. And yes…I was screaming like a little girl…

Why, do you ask?

A mouse.

Not just any mouse, but a mouse IN MY BOOT...

Not so bad, you say…

MY FOOT WAS IN IT!

I was getting ready for work, the Sunday Night before Christmas Eve. I was getting my boots on and stuffed my right foot into my boot.

There was something hard in, what I can only describe as, the ‘corner’ of my boot, by my little toesies. It didn't seem big.

I thought my sock had balled up, when putting my foot in. It was a tight fit.

So, I took part of my foot our and sort of ‘slammed’ it back in…twice..still there. K, maybe it is a lego or toy Riley dropped in there (this has happened before).

I was going to just leave it and deal with it at work. I was running late.

But then I thought, no, this is my driving foot, this is gonna bug me.

So I took my foot out of my boot, raised it up about eye level (to see in) and shook it.

Nothing.

Well, if I had been paying attention, that little stone I saw fall out would have tipped me off…as I later realized...it was a mouse nugget.

So I then reached up into my boot and felt something furry and somewhat hard.

Let me back track. The day before my wife had spotted the mouse when we had company over.

So I immediately though, “OH CRAP. Megabyte caught the mouse and put the dead thing into my boot.”

EEEEEEKKKK! I touched a dead mouse….I dropped the boot and ran to my mother's room right behind me. (As most of you know. She is the terminator of icky things in our house).

“MOM! I just touched a dead mouse in my boot!”

“Oh Lord…” was all she said. As we turned from her room and toward where my boots lay, I saw a mouse jump out and run towards the couch.

“EEEEKKKK! I touched a LIVE MOUSE!”

Suffice it to say, we didn’t find it (until the next day, when Amy accidentally killed it—another long and entertaining story). But I still haven’t and refuse to wear those boots.

Eeeek. Yes. Eeek. I think that about sums it up.

[KNOCK], [KNOCK] Is this thing on?

So, I haven't written in quite awhile. Sorry.

My life has been insanely busy.

College: Not only has classes started up again, but both courses were drawing courses. Which would hav been fine and I would have enjoyed them, but they were condensed and so busy. I had assignments due every other day!

Work: Still not liken the whole no music and not internet policy. But it is okay. The pay is good, the hours aren't too bad. But the work can be boring and then there is the nights when there is nothing to do.

Home: Busy as usual. Riley is growing fast and starting to add more and more words to his vocabulary. I will miss it when the love he gives is unconditional. My oldests still give unconditional love, but it is less frequent. The signs of growing older.

Board: Busy as ever. Need to advertise like crazy. Need to find replacement board members. Interested? LOL.

Not much else. But I thought I better update ya.

I want the new iPod! With its full touch screen. (iPod Touch for those keeping score).

Miss Lady DJ

She's got her Gemini mixin with a funky crossfinger and her two 1200s just ready....to let us....have it!

The title of this entry is from the current song I am listening on my iPod. RuPaul's Miss Lady DJ. From her first album. A great song to get down and funky with.

Well, I have so much to update everyone on. I don't even know where to begin.

I have been elected on the Board of Directors for the Cooperative. So I will serve for three years as secretary.

Scout and Sneakers were taken into the Vet today.

Scout has nothing wrong with him that the vet could find. We were worried, because he used to weigh 25 lbs. and now he ways 9 lbs. The doc thinks he may have a thyroid disease, so his metabolism is running high. If we fix the thyroid issue, he could have kidney failure, so we will leave the thyroid and just keep an eye on him. He also has arthritis, so we have to make sure he doesn't have to jump to far for anything. (Translation: Lots of carrying and babying the poor kitty!)

Sneakers we brought in because he had this lump growing on the back of his spine. And it got big. They believe it is cancer, but to tell if it is benign or malignant would cost $1000. To treat it would cost even more. So we are leaving it. They think it is benign, because if you touch it, it doesn't bother him. If it was malignant, it would be painful. So we need to watch him and if it becomes painful for him, then we know it will be time to put him to sleep.

Riley is just a walkin everywhere! Sometimes he runs. It is so cute to watch him walk all over the place. Nothing feels better than to have your child walk to you with their arms outstretched. And he loves to make sounds! Any kinds, as long as they are all different!

We want to plan a trip to Disney World next year and the Disney Cruise. We need to save like $14,000 dollars to do the trip we really want to do.

We would also like to buy land and move our home onto it, with a basement. I still want a Dome home, but that may have to wait...

Hmm.... I really can't think of anything else. I thought I had more than that... oh well.

My life is asking for it's bowl of cherries...WHERE'S THE DAMN CHERRIES!?

Life……… could be……… better

I am so tired and exhausted. Not just physically, but mentally too. I wish I had a steady job. I keep looking at the classifieds and I just don’t qualify for all the design jobs out there. It sucks. I found a great one today, but I don’t have enough experience.

I also ran over a concrete barrier today. Nothing huge, just one of those small ones that they have in between parking spaces. But this one is a parking garage, so it was a little smaller, but enough to make scraping noises. So of course, I am all freaked out now. Amy says the car is okay, but I am so paranoid.

And I so wish I had a shitload of money. Enough to build my home (in cash), pay off all my debt, get new cars and all the electronics that I could possibly want.

So, does anyone want to give me money? I’ll dance for you (and the more you give me, the more clothes I will keep on.)

Really. I’m serious. You can pay me through paypal and my email address. It’s really easy. And I do have a webcam so that you can see me dance.

Just, uh, let me know, okay?

boredom... keeps me on my toes

I am so bored right now. It is midnight and I am watching GoldenEye on Bravo and just plain bored.

I know that I have a ton of projects that I could be doing, but I just don't have the energy right now.

Lately, I have become addicted to Stampin Up. I can't stop stampin cards, notepads, decorations... it's crazy. I love the water pen. It makes watercolring with stamp pads SO EASY!

Work is crazy too. They have me kinda booked these next few months. I'm not complaining, but it's sucks that I am working two different assignments. I want to keep myself open for Best Buy, because:
  1. they pay me more;
  2. I don't have to pay $7.50 for parking per day.
  3. And they have REAL food there.
  4. And the people seem a little nicer.
I am so tired. So much is going on in my life right now. Issues with da Boyz, issues with the neighbors, issues with the community, issues with my life. Ugh, so much drama.

I want a house.

A REAL house.

Did I mention I want a house?

I should go now....

Smart House.....hmm....

I have been thinking a lot lately about the Monolithic Dome Home I want to build. I want to have in it:
  • Wireless infrastructure.
  • Sunken Game Table
  • Plasma screens
  • a plasma screen builletin board/calendar system that is linked to the network and can show 4 months at a time (touch operated).
  • intercom/videocom system
  • networked touch screens in every room to access contacts, calendar, messaging, music, video, etc.
  • A grand office where all my kids computers are lined up against a wall and networked to a huge screen on the wall, so when I am in there with them and they are having a homework problem, I can put it on the screen and help. Or if we are in a networked game, I can have the game up on the wall, etc.
But I know a lot of it is wishful thinking. But I have managed to get some of this in place at my new house.

I have a wireless infrastructure (not quite mapped out like I want it, but I am working on it)

I am trying to inexpensively have all my computer users be able to connect to a main calendar file in outlook (and contacts).

I have taken an old laptop (that was collecting dust) and put it next to my phone base (on the bar in our kitchen) and placed a cool phone log program to keep track of everyones messages (which can be emailed to them) and a recipe program (connected to the server) for us to access recipes in the kitchen. And even browse the net.

I can stream my music out to any computer and to the surround sound system out in the living room (hopefully someday I will buy the router that will let me send my video out there too!

I would like to get a better modem for my old laptop and then it could be my answering machine and email the voicemessages to the appropriate people. If someone called for me at home, I would be able to get it at work and call them back!

I love technology!

Long time, no blog.

Well, I have been burning DVD's non-stop. I didn't realize how many home movies I have...

But, we are settling nicely into our new home. I hope to post photos soon. Maybe I will post them on my website... who knows.

Not much else is going on.

Getting used to the sensations....

Well, We are mostly moved in. We still have some boxes here and there. My office is a mess. But it is starting to look like home... still doesn't feel like it. That will take some time. Our old Trailer always felt like home, for 7 years! Even when we moved out and had to move back in. Still home.

But We realized we have a lot of shit. But it is nice to have all our partylite stuff out and all my collectible out! I got an idea about some of my collectibles that I have no home for... Talk later!

Finally, It has happened to me.....

Right in front of my face and I just cannot hide it,
Finally, It has happened to me, right in front of my face,
my two lips can't describe it...

Well, actually my fingers can!

CeCe Penniston's song is totally what I am feeling right now.

As of Last Tuesday, the 29th. We are officially moved in!

OY VAY! I never want to do this again.

Packing everything up was the easy part. Unpacking is the hardest thing to do. You realize how much shit you have and no damn idea where it is to go!

And the problems! The walls are covered in smoke grime (damn smokers). The dishwasher and the washing machine doesn't work. The whirlpool REALLY needs to be cleaned and sanitized.

But I am very glad we are in a bigger place. My office is put together (Of course that would be the first thing!)

Now to sort through junk and get rid of it all!

Who the hell are these people...

Well, we officially moved in today and I am really pissed off.

We were told Wednesday of last week that all that was left was the carpet, Linoleum and trim. All will be done on Friday.

Nope. They did the Carpet on Saturday. Linoleum is done. Trim is partially done. UPDATE: we did this ourselves a few months after we were fully moved in).

We came in on the weekend to clean it ourselves (to get in quicker—Nice thinking Amy!) and we found that the master bath toilet is missing, patio door is broke, no stairs at the back door, no power to living room/master bedroom/master bath, No water and a few other items. We called Monday morning and the company said it would be worked on and finished by Tuesday morning.

Monday night arrives and Amy goes to drop some stuff off at the new place. Only 2 things were done all day.

We arrive Tuesday. Waited all day for a toilet. Nothing was done. No toilet. (After they said it would be there in an hour!) They say it will be on Wednesday.

How they hell do these people think that we are going to be guaranteed to move in by the 30th, when they HAVE NOTHING DONE!

WHAT THE FUCK HAVE THEY BEEN DOING FOR FOUR FUCKING WEEKS! WE COULD HAVE DONE ALL THIS IN ONE WEEK!

I am so fucking pissed off right now. This is fucking ridiculous.

Sorry for my Fucking French!

What I miss when I am away

I have a funny story to tell you. Amy filled me in on the happenings of the weekend and this story is too good to not share.

While I was away at Guys Weekend, she was cleaning on Saturday night and she hears a "helloooo" out of no where.

She goes to the front door and there is my dad standing at the end of the steps, he says, "someone wants to talk to you", and Amy says, "who?" and he says, "Their in the car".

It turns out that Muriel and Lorraine had come over and he took them for a drive in his new minivan. While they were out, he decided to show them the outside of our new home (he lives close to us).

He drove by and saw our minivan in the driveway and decided to knock and see if we were there, but when he saw the door open, he decided to holler so he wouldn't have to try and climb the steps with his bad leg... or scare anyone.

So Muriel and Lorraine (My great aunt and grandmother) come in and see the house and they all love it! As they are standing around talking, my dad looks at Amy and very quietly says, "We are going to get some tacos".

So Amy picks up his hint and says, "Well, we were just about to leave and go get some dinner, because we haven't eaten yet."

Dad winks at her and says, "Do you like tacos?" and Amy says, "yeah we love tacos."

Muriel pipes up and says, "Is there a taco place around here?" and dad says, "Yeah, they just put one up in the new village a few miles away." So Muriel then invites everyone to dinner. (My dad can be so sneaky.)

So they arrive at the restaurant and Amy is standing behind My dad and Muriel and they are facing each other at the counter deciding what to get and Amy is facing the order-taker-chick.

They both are looking at my dad and Muriel like it is a tennis match, back and forth, Muriel would ask how much something was and dad would then say, "well, why don't you get this, or this or this" this went on for like 15 minutes.

Finally they decided what they wanted and Muriel kept asking how much each thing was or second guessing herself, so the order taker looks at Amy and Amy tells her the order and says to put it in. So she does. Amy is just giggling the whole time.

So then Muriel is asking for the total. And everyone is trying to tell her and she can't hear, so then they are trying to show her the display that has the amount. The whole time her hand has her pen and is in the spot where you write the number amount in your check. So Amy reaches around and grabs her hand and helps her write the amount. Muriel is kinda laughing about this and the cleark is trying so hard not to laugh.

Then, Muriel is trying to figure out the date, and dad wasn't listening and tells her the total, so then Amy tells her the date again. So Muriel finishes with the check and then tears it out of her book, but leaves it sit there as she is writing in her register. So Amy reaches around, slips the check out and gives it to the cashier. The cashier then is telling them their order number at the same time as the cook calls the order number out... wait, it gets better:

They get a booth and a table next to it. Amy, my mom and Muriel and my dad are sitting in the booth, while Lorraine and the kids are at the table.

This is a Taco Bell/Long John Silver's combo restaurant, so the cashier comes over with little pirate hats for the kids. A few minutes later Amy looks over at the table and starts giggling, everyone asks her what is so funny and she says, "This is the adult table and that is the kid table." Everyone looks over and all the kids have their hat on and so does Lorraine! Everyone starts giggling... wait, it gets better.

Lorraine sees this little girl who has on this cute outfit, she wants Muriel to see it so she can make one for the girls (my great-aunt is a wonderful seamstress). So, for 15 minutes everyone is trying to get Muriel to see this girl, but every time she finally hears them and looks, the girl goes behind the counter or her parents stand in front of her and Muriel keeps saying, “I don't see anyone!"

By this time Amy is cracking up, she is laughing so hard that she sounds like she is hyper-ventilating. So everyone (except Lorraine, who can't hear anything going on) is laughing and asking if she is okay, and Amy quips, "Lorraine, give me your oxygen". Lorraine somehow heard that and takes the tube out of her nose and hands it to Amy.

This just killsAmy and she falls over on my mom laughing so hard and my dad starts laughing so hard that he almost falls out of the booth. Which makes Amy laugh even harder. It took them a good 10 minutes to calm down!

The whole time, Lorraine and Muriel have no clue what is going on!

So always remember, old people are cute, but half-deaf relatives are a riot!

Movin on up, to the NORTH side....

Well, we should be able to start moving in on Saturday. Hopefully...

Guys weekend is this weekend too, I am a little worried... the gaggle of guys I am going with can get a little wild and crazy... wish me luck (some prayers wouldn't hurt either!)

Also, we are going to have our House Warming Luau on July 25th from 3 to 9. E-mail me for details and where to park!

Roll on 18 Wheeler!

THE RAMBLER IS MOVED IN!! It is in backwards, but according to the city our front door has to be facing the driveway. So we won't be having a deck off the sliding glass doors. We'll just have one off the front door.

Odd part, the office said we could still have a deck off our sliding door. Umm, isn't that our neighbor's yard. And they already have a VERY small lot. I don't think so.

We are so excited. We should be able to move in next weekend... wanna help?

No News is not Good News...

Well, the home is supposed to be in the new lot tomorrow, but they still have an old jallopy in there. So we will see.

Also, I put in an impromptu web calendar and photo album, until I can get my own working. Hopefully soon. PHP drives me crazy!

What a day!

Well. I wish I had more web knowledge. I am trying to install a PHP calendar and a PHP transfer program. I can't get them to work. Something just doesn't like me.

Other than that I just can't wait to move... they were supposed to move the trailer in last week, but it still isn't moved in. So we will see... they need to hurry though!

Patience.....is a virtue

Well, sometime this week they will move the trailer to its new home... then finish it and we can move in... I have no patience right now. I want to move in NOW!

And I really want things. I want a new sectional/fold out couch, a recliner, bookshelves, home theatre system, a dual-layer DVD burner, an external hardrive, iPod accessories, Altec InMotion speakers for iPod, home wireless network, Wonder Woman complete first season on DVD, Celine's new live vegas CD, a bedroom set, a new Desk...

But the house comes first, then maybe I can "beg" some stuff out of Amy. Or at least try really hard.

Guys weekend is coming up soon. I can and can't wait. As a Fat man, food is my top priority and right now only 2 meals are guaranteed and I have no idea what I am supposed to bring...

Somedays I feel like I am drowning. I don't know if it is stress, or what. But I feel like no one else is worrying about things, so I have to. I know Amy takes care of a lot of stuff... but, I still feel like the weight of everything is on me.

It doesn't help when she complains about me not doing stuff around the house. I work hard. I may sit on my ass at work, but I have to use my mind and it leaves me mentally drained. I come home late at night and am so awake. But then during the day, I feel like I need to relax to recharge myself, so I don't feel like cleaning, or doing chores. Work is my chore. Be thankful I have a job and go to it. And money... I work hard and I know it is going to pay bills, but I would like to be able to go out to dinner with my coworker once a week, or be able to have pop everynight at work, or buy a DVD burner, or take my family out to eat. I like to splurge a little. I would like for Amy to have her table saw or biscuit joint tool thingy. Maybe when we finally move I will feel less stressed and depressed.

I LOVE LIFE

This past week and a half I have been depressed and stressed and just down. Mainly because we are waiting to hear if we were approved in the new park we are moving to. Then our Mobile Home company called and said they needed more info to approve our loan (after they said we were approved) So I was stressed.

Well, We got a call today. We are approved for a loan and didn't need that other stuff. (One hand had no clue what the other was doing. Maybe they should communicate more.) AND...

Drumroll please...

We got approved to live in the new park. So...

They move the trailer next week (UPDATE: was actually 2 weeks later) and then give them a week or two (Try THREE) to put it all back together and stuff and we move in around the end of June!!!!!! (Try July...just barely!)

Thank you all to those who gave us prayers, mojo, vibes, and that crazy voodoo-that-you-do-so well!

Now we just have to get all the down payment money in one place and sign the papers! (Still keeps us in your prayers again, just in case!) (UPDATE: We never officially closed until about a week after we moved in)

So, once we are moved in, I am going to throw a Luau/house warming party in July... more details to follow!

A Gift

Well, our app to the aprk is being processed now. We have the entire down payment. My great aunt provided us around half of it, plus is giving it to us as a gift so we can concentrate on furnishing the house, groceries and such. I am so exicted. I cannot wait to move... but realize that we are not in the clear yet.

Not much else is going on in my life. We have so much to do this summer. Every weekend is booked. I just want to sleep, but Amy won't let me...

Can I Get another AMEN!

We saw the new house today.

O.M.G. is it gorgeous. There is plenty of room for everyone.

The girls and boy get split up into their own rooms, Cindy gets her own room and we get our own room and our own bathroom (with a whirlpool!). The kitchen is great, the living room is huge, so is the dining room. And there is a sun room that we can use as a office!! Plus room for a table to fold clothes that come from the washer and dryer next to it!

I cannot wait. It has so much space for us that it is so perfect. I just pray that everything falls into place for us. They are trying to move it and finish the interior work by the end of this month! We could be moved in by June! I am sooooo excited! (UPDATE: we didn't move in until July 1st. And just barely... read on.)

Keep us in your prayers and thoughts!

Can I Get and AMEN and a HALLELUAH!

We just got word that we are approved for a loan for a bigger home out in Circle Pines. THANK YOU JESUS!

We have been trying to get out of this little trailer (the only place to feel like home) for over three years!

So now we just have to come up with the down payment. Please pray for us that we will be able to come up with the money in time.

Again, THANK YOU JESUS!
